School statement

'Together - Every Child, Every Chance, Every day' is the guiding philosophy that shapes the efforts of the Cleveland State School community to provide quality education for learners from Prep to Year 7. For over 150 years Cleveland State School has been an integral part of the local community, establishing itself as a well-respected, well-resourced school with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who support and encourage learners to experience daily success. Whilst explicit teaching in literacy and numeracy forms the foundation of the curriculum at Cleveland State School, learners are also given opportunities to excel across a range of areas. Students have achieved local, national and international success in areas as diverse as the arts, writing, maths, French and public speaking, music, skipping and environmental education.
