Victoria Point State School, Victoria Point, QLD

School statement
Victoria Point State School is a large school which provides a wide variety of learning experiences in all key learning areas. As well as the traditional academic programs our school offers outstanding sporting and cultural opportunities. To extend our core-learning opportunities we also offer a wide range of extra-curricular programs through participation in academic competitions, sporting competitions and music programs. Literacy and numeracy are the key elements of our learning program and a great deal of importance is placed on maximising student achievement in these areas. For students who are experiencing learning difficulties our school provides support through our Special Needs Committee. Support may also be provided using the services of the Special Education Unit, support teachers, a guidance officer, advisory visiting teachers and through Year 2 Net Intervention and or other specific funding connected to national testing . Providing learning support to students is one of our highest priorities and we are excited at being able to provide additional assistance to students who require help. Visit the school website.
