School statement
Kelvin Grove State College is an inner-city, Preparatory Year to Year 12 college with an enrolment of approximately 1750. It is structured into a Junior School (Prep to Year 5), a Middle School (Year 6 to9) and a Senior School (Year 10-12). Each sub-school has its own core buildings and grounds but many facilities and resources are shared. The college values resilience, creative thinking, integrity, respect, responsibility and diversity, and prides itself on its very high academic achievements. Middle School classes for academically advanced students are offered. The college is co-located with the Queensland University of Technology and partnership activities exist across all year levels, culminating with academic partnerships in Mathematics, Engineering, Education and other disciplines. The college has Excellence Programs in Dance, in partnership with The Queensland Ballet, sports (Tennis, Football and Golf) and Aviation, as well as advanced Instrumental Music and performance ensembles. A traineeship and apprenticeship program for Senior students is also strong, and with our Queensland University of Technology partnership there is a large range of Senior pathways to study available for all students. Visit the school website.
