Paralowie School, Paralowie, SA

School statement

Paralowie School is a large Reception to Year 12 School of 1240 students in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Our motto 'Achievement for All' underpins our focus on meeting the learning needs of a wide range of students. We specialise in a sports pathway, allied health, and a range of pathways to employment, TAFE and university. Literacy and numeracy improvement for all students is an ongoing priority. Our well-equipped learning spaces are well-maintained. Year 12s have a designated area. A weights' room supports learning in health and physical activity. Our students have a high record of sporting success and the school participates in a wide range of local, zone and state competitions. A new, well-equipped gym/activity hall in the primary school will provide a valuable learning area for students. The governing council along with the Parents and Friends Association are very active. The Paralowie R to 12 Community Centre also provides valuable support to families and students. A well-being hub provides support for students from Years 6 to 12 and a range of outside agencies that have developed positive relationships with our school community are always welcome.
